On 17 September 2025, Sar-Alam Indah Sdn. Bhd. a subsidiary of WEIDA had the opportunity to participate in JPPS Innovation Day 2025, an initiative organised by the Jabatan Perkhidmatan Pembetungan Sarawak (JPPS) at the Intermediate Pump Station (IPS) Miri. Themed “Safety & Sustainability Innovation: Saving Lives, Protecting Nature,” the event served as a vital forum where leaders from both public and private sectors converged to share ideas, demonstrate innovative practices and reaffirm their dedication to environmental stewardship and community safety.
The event underscored the importance of continuous innovation in enhancing emergency preparedness, operational efficiency and workplace safety within the different sectors. Emphasis was placed on integrating cutting-edge safety measures and sustainable asset management techniques that not only protect lives but also preserve the natural environment.
A key highlight of the day was JPPS’s commitment to fostering a proactive culture of safety, complemented by its ongoing support of Malaysia’s broader environmental objectives. This included tree planting initiatives aimed at enriching local biodiversity and promoting a greener, healthier future.
